Abstract：Based on the designs submitted to the Architect Salon of SCUT,this paper puts its full focus on discussing lowcost green buliding designs in subtropical regions By adapting to regional and onsite conditions,design practices have strongly proved that low building cost and low operating cost green building designs in subtropical areas are achievable in some areas.There are ways to avoid high cost and high operatincost technique in green building designs in order to maximize environmental and economical benefits
