Study on Traditional Chinese Kitchens
Abstract：Changes of appearance of kitchens in traditional Chinese family reflect improvement of people＇s living standards in the past.The differences in regions,fuel recourses and economical conditions can be seen by the different types of stoves built in the kitchens.The juxtaposition of chimneys and residences becomes more harmonious with time.With the changes in diet,kitchen counters and new processing tools evolve accordingly.More imprtantly,shrines are set up in kitchens to worship the kitchen God,shows immense telling characters and folk cultures in Chinese traditional kitchens.Kitchens occupy different positons in traditonal houses dependent on diffrent regions and cultural settings.
