Abstract：The paper interprets and analyzes two pieces of wood carving works which separately describe the senes of Yangtse River and Pear River.and focuses on their creativemethods.Then the paper studies the composition and appreciation of scroll painting style wood carving in traditiongal dwellings including the functions of painting as carrier and praiser.
