Abstract:Against the backdrop of global population aging, the clinical necessity for risk assessment in elderly surgical patients is increasingly prominent.Frailty syndrome,a prevalent pathological condition among the geriatric population,is not adequately integrated into the evaluation of its effect on postoperative recovery within current anesthesia grading assessment systems, despite their ability to reflect patients'systemic status and surgical risks. This results in limitations in preoperative risk assessment for elderly patients. This study analyzes the role of combined frailty and anesthesia grading assessment in elderly surgical patients and explores its impact on postoperative prognosis, thereby aiming to optimize preoperative assessment for this population and reduce the occurrence of postoperative adverse events.
