Research advances in the application of remifentanil in pediatric anesthesia

Abstract：Remifentanil is a novel anesthetic analgesics classified as an ultrashort-acting μ-opioid receptor agonist.It has unique pharmacokinetic characteristics such as rapid onset,rapid clearance,and no significant accumulation after continuous infusion.With minimal impact on respiratory and circulatory systems in pediatric patients,it ensures prompt recovery and rapid awakening,making it an ideal anesthetic agent for pediatric surgical patients.This article reviews recent research advancements in remifentanil for pediatric anesthesia in different age groups,such as the effect,optimal dose,adverse effects and precautions,aiming to provide precise dosing guidance for its application in pediatric anesthesia.
