Abstract：Sedative drugs are indispensable for painless gastrointestinal endoscopy.However,their application in obese patients can cause respiratory depression and increase the risk of airway management.This article reviews the characteristics of sedative drugs and airway management during painless gastrointestinal endoscopy in obese patients based on domestic and international literature,aiming to enhance the safety of painless gastrointestinal endoscopy in obese patients and provide a reference for perioperative management.
