Anesthesia nursing for pediatric outpatients with dental treatment under general anesthesia

Abstract：This retrospective study analyzed the anesthesia nursing management of 549 pediatric patients undergoing dental treatment un-der general anesthesia in the outpatient department.Comprehensive nursing interventions were implemented throughout the perioperative period,including preoperative education and communication,parent-present inhalation induction,intraoperative thermal protection,skin nursing,and postoperative recovery guidance and health education.These measures effectively ensured anesthesia safety and reduced com-plications.The study demonstrates that all procedures were completed successfully,with favorable postoperative recovery outcomes in all cases,and parental satisfaction was also enhanced.This study shows the critical role of specialized anesthesia nursing management in improving the safety and comfort of pediatric patients during dental procedures under general anesthesia,providing valuable insights for clinical nursing practice.
