Abstract:Postdural puncture headache(PDPH)is a common neurological complication, which usually occurs in patients after epidural anesthesia or lumbar puncture, and has a great impact on the life quality of patients. In recent years, with the deepening of the under-standing of PDPH,nerve block therapy as a new treatment option has gradually attracted attention.Recently,a variety of nerve block techniques, such as greater occipital nerve block(GONB)and sphenopalatine ganglion block(SPGB),have been proposed for the treat-ment of PDPH.These approaches are not only effective in relieving headache symptoms, but may also improve patients'overall quality of life. However, there are still many uncertainties in the specific application, mechanism, efficacy and safety of nerve block, and related research is still at the growing stage. The purpose of this article is to review the application status of GONB and SPGB in the treatment of PDPH,analyze their efficacy, potential risks and future research directions,so as to provide reference for clinical practice and further pro-mote development of this field.
