Discussion on the construction status and related problems of"pain-free hospital"of medical institutions in Huangshi city

Abstract：Objective To explore the relationship between the current situation of"pain-free hospital"in Huangshi city and the related factors of pain management.Methods A survey was designed and distributed via the WeChat mini-program"Questionnaire Star".Collected data were analyzed using frequency statistics and Pearson correlation coefficients.Results Among secondary-level and higher medical institutions,66.18％institutions had established pain management systems and pain clinics,while only 29.41％institutions had dedicated pain wards.Internal protocols for patient pain management and clinical documentation were implemented.Analgesic techniques were predominantly utilized in painless gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures.Oral medication,particularly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),was the most frequently employed analgesic method by healthcare professionals.Conclusion General hospitals dem-onstrate a greater propensity than specialized hospitals to establish dedicated pain clinics or treatment centers.Secondary hospitals are more likely than tertiary hospitals to implement pain clinics or pain management centers.Institutions with dedicated pain clinics show a stronger inclination to establish corresponding inpatient pain wards.
