Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of whole-process optimized nursing in temporary spinal cord stimulation(tSCS)in patients with thoracic herpes zoster-associated pain(ZAP).Methods A total of 60 patients with thoracic herpes ZAP underwent tSCS in our department from June to August 2023 were randomly divided into the control group(n=30)and the observation group(n=30)according to random number table method. The control group was given routine basic care, while the observation group received optimized nursing throughout the entire process. The postoperative pain scores, sleep scores, complication rates, degree of satisfaction, anxiety and depression scores of the two groups were observed and compared.Complications mainly include postoperative infection, pressure ulcers, blood clots, urinary retention, and surgical failure caused by electrode displacement or prolapse. The degree of satisfaction is scored by doctors, patients and nurses.Anxiety and depression scores are mainly evaluated using the SAS scale and SDS scale, which was commonly used in our hospital. Results The present pain intensity(PPI),pain rating index(PRI),visual analogue scale(VAS),SF-MPQ total scores and sleep scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the surgical effect was better than that of the control group, and the complications were lower than those of the control group. The cooperation of the whole-process optimized nursing enhanced the degree of satisfaction of patients, doctors and nurses. The SAS and SDS scores of patients in the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of whole-process optimized nursing to patients undergoing tSCS for herpes zoster-related pain is conducive to improving the patient's mental state, patient compliance, surgical efficiency, reducing postoperative complications, speeding up surgical transfer, shortening patient's hospitalization period.
