Questionnaire survey on current status and safety awareness of perioperative anticoagulation management

Abstract：Objective To investigate the status quo and clinical safety awareness of perioperative anticoagulant management among anesthesiologists in Hubei province and surrounding counties and cities.Methods The self-designed questionnaires were sent to anesthesiologists in hospitals of Hubei province and surrounding counties,cities and towns through wechat within one month.The system automatically recorded the answers.Results A total of 776 anesthesiologists participated in the questionnaire survey,with 746 valid questionnaires,and the anesthesiologists who had participated in the survey from 85 hospitals in Hubei,convering 15 counties and cities.Among those anesthesiologists,276(37%)of them are from third-level hospitals,428(57.38%)of them are from second-level hospitals,and 42(5.63%)of them are from second-level hospitals participated in the questionnaire survey.Patients who use anticoagulation/antiplatelet drug in the perioperative period are common in medical institutions at all levels(58.98%).Some of these patients also bring certain challenges to the implementation and management of perioperative anesthesia.There are still many cognition differences in the perioperative anticoagulation management.Conclusion There are still many disputes in the clinical decision-making and implementation of perioperative anticoagulation among the staff participating in the questionnaire in various medical institutions.The standardized management of perioperative anticoagulation,the formulation of the system and the clinical implementation have not yet reached a consensus.It is necessary to further promote the consensus on rational decision-making of perioperative anticoagulation,improve the perioperative anesthesia management level of anesthesiologists,and ensure the safety of perioperative anesthesia for patients.
