The clinical research progress of remimazolam in general anesthesia

Abstract：Remimazolam,available in two salt forms as remimazolam tosylate and remimazolam besylate,is a novel ultra-short-acting,water-soluble benzodiazepine.It obtained new indications for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia at the close of 2021 and the outset of 2022.This article provides a concise review of the expanded indications for remimazolam,encompassing its effectiveness in general anesthesia,comparative analysis with other induction agents,dosing for induction and maintenance,safety considerations,and re-search on potential adverse reactions.The review aims to provide a valuable reference for the use of remimazolam in clinical anesthesia.
