Abstract:Post-laparoscopic shoulder pain(PLSP)is a common complication following laparoscopic surgery. Most scholars believe that it is caused by the stretching of the diaphragm by the pneumoperitoneum,as well as the conversion of CO2 into carbonic acid, which stim-ulates the phrenic nerve and leads to referred pain to shoulder. To prevent and relieve PLSP,scholars worldwide have adopted many ap-proaches,including the low-pressure artificial pneumoperitoneum, the elimination of residual CO2,local anesthetics and nerve block tech-niques.The purpose of this review is to summarize the research progress on the intervention measures of PLSP,aiming to provide refer-ences for clinical practice.
