Abstract:Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is an autoimmune disease caused by the immune system's abnormal attack on its own tissues. However, traditional anti-rheumatic drugs and biological agents have poor efficacy for some SLE patients and fail to achieve a sustained remission of the disease.Chimeric antigen receptor T lymphocyte(CAR-T)immunotherapy is currently a hot topic in cellular immunotherapy research, bringing new treatment options for SLE patients.CAR-T immunotherapy has shown faster and more durable efficacy in the clinical application of SLE,and is expected to achieve drug-free remission and reduce the occurrence of adverse events. This article expounds the preclinical and clinical research of CAR-T immunotherapy in SLE at present, and reviews the clinical effect, safety and feasibility of clinical application of CAR-T immunotherapy.
