Abstract:Objective To analyze the changes of serum chemokine like factor-1(CKLF-1)and adiponectin in patients with eczema and their clinical implications. Methods From May 2022 to May 2024,112 eczema patients admitted to our hospital were included as the case group.According to the eczema area and severity index(EASI)score, the patients were assigned into mild group(35 cases),moderate group(37 cases),and severe group(40 cases).Meantime, another 109 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations were included as the control group. The fasting peripheral blood of the research subjects were collected, and subjected to enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)for detecting serum CKLF-1 and adiponectin levels.Pearson method was applied to analyze the correlation of serum CKLF-1 and adiponectin with eosinophil(EOS),total IgE and EASI scores.Multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the factors influencing EASI scores in eczema patients. Results Compared with the control group, the CKLF-1 level increased and the adiponectin level decreased in the case group(P<0.05).Compared with the mild group, the moderate and severe groups showed an increase in serum CKLF-1 level and a decrease in adiponectin level(P<0.05).Compared with the moderate group, the severe group showed an increase in serum CKLF-1 level and a decrease in adiponectin level(P<0.05).The EOS level, total IgE level, and EASI scores were significantly different among the mild, moderate and severe groups, and progressively increased with the severity of the disease(P<0.05).The serum CKLF-1 level in eczema patients was positively correlated with EOS,total IgE and EASI score, while the adiponectin level was negatively correlated with EOS,total IgE and EASI score(P<0.05).EOS,CKLF-1 and adiponectin were the main factors affecting the EASI score of eczema patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum CKLF-1 level increases and adiponectin level decreases in patients with eczema.Abnormal levels of the both are correlated with EOS and total IgE levels, and may serve as clinical indicators for assessing the severity of eczema.
