Research of function promotion of natural killer cells by Lenalidomide in multiple myeloma

Abstract：Natural killer cells are one kind of the important immunocytes, which play a critical role in the immunologic surveillance of malignancy hematologic disease. However, malignant plasma cells affect NK cells activation and cytotoxicity by multiple mechanism in multiple myeloma patients. Lenalidomide is one kind of immunoregulation drugs, which treat multiple myeloma effectively. Lenalidomide can restore natural killer cells activation, promote tumor apoptosis and improve patients' survival. In this review, we will discuss how malignant plasma cells inhibits natural killer cells activation and how Lenalidomide restores natural killer cells cytotoxicity. This review will provide information and base to treat multiple myeloma effectively.
