Abstract:To investigate the clinical values of serum IL-24 and IL-6 concentration in children patients with Burkitt lymphoma, we analyzed the association of serum IL-24 and IL-6 concentration with clinicopathological parameters in 45 cases of children patients with Burkitt lymphoma by using ELISA assays. Data showed that the IL-24 level in serum of patients with Burkitt lymphoma was significantly lower than that of patients in normal control groups (P<0. 01). Both IL-24 and IL-6 levels in serum were associated with the bone marrow metastasis status and clinical stage of Burkitt lymphoma patients (P<0. 01), while were not related to gender, age and the IPI index (P>0. 05). These findings suggested that the concentration of IL-24 and IL-6 proteins in serum are closely correlated with the bone marrow metastasis status and clinical stage in children patients with Burkitt lymphoma. Thus, detection of the serum IL-24 and IL-6 concentration may provide the evidence for clinical therapy of Burkitt lymphoma as auxiliary diagnosis.
