Research advances on the role of lipophagy in pathogenic microorganism infection

Abstract：Autophagy is a mechanism to maintain the homeostasis of cells,which is closely related to the degradation of many kinds of inclusions in cells.As a selective autophagy process,lipophagy can effectively recognize and break down lipids.For one thing,lipophagy can regulate lipid droplets metabolism and prevent lipid deposition;for another,lipophagy can also benefit the proliferation of some of pathogenic microorganisms.In this paper,we have described the details in three aspects,including the interaction between autophagy and lipid,the effects of lipophagy on lipid metabolism of cells,the conclusion and discussion that the mechanism of lipophagy in some pathogenic microorganisms infection.
