Abstract：Tertiary lymphoid tissue (TLT) has been found in local tumor pathological tissue of chronic inflammation,autoimmune disease and the tumor.Recently,tertiary lymphoid tissue was revealed to be critical in mediating the dynamics of T cell recruitment and local activation of immune cells in the tumor microenvironment.However,the effect of tertiary lymphoid tissue on tumor immunosuppression or tolerance is not consistent at its various formation stage.Thus,tertiary lymphoid tissue assessment and analysis,targeting its development phage and the dynamic changes of the internal immune cells,provide a promising approach for the immunotherapeutic strategies.Here,we discuss the immunological behavior of tertiary lymphoid tissue,its occurrence in the tumor immune microenvironment and its clinical relevance.
