Abstract:To compared the difference of the expression and distribution of myeloid differentiation factor88 (MyD88) in the artery between Buerger' s disease and control,9 cases patients with Buerger's disease undergoing the artery resection from July 2013 to July 2015 were collected as Buerger's disease group, and 12 cases patients with malignant tumor or injury undergoing the artery resection were receuited as controls. The mRNA and protein levels of MyD88 were measured using the methods of RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. In addtion,The characteristics of MyD88's distribution was observed using the methods of immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence.According to the results of RT-PCR and Western blot, the level of MyD88 expressed in the artery tissues of Buerger's disease was obviously higher than that in the control tissues (P<0.01);the results of immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence further showed the mRNA and protein levels of MyD88 were strongly up-regulated in the arteries with Buerger' s disease as compared with controls, and the MyD88 protein primarily distributed in the arterial smooth muscle cells and the endothelial cells in Buerger' s disease. These results indicate that MyD88 is probably related to pathogenesis of Buerger' s disease and the signaling pathway of TLRs-MyD88 maybe play a key role in the development of Buerger's disease.
