In vitro anticancer efficacy of Curcumin combination with anti-TfR antibody

Abstract：The expression of transferrin receptor (TfR) is closely correlated with tumor stage or prognosis.Here,we aimed to examine the anticancer efficacy of anti-TfR antibody combination with Curcumin.The inhibitory effect of TfR autibody or Curcumin on glioma growth was evaluated by MTT assay;furthermore,the apoptosis,proliferation and cell cycle of glioma cells were evaluated by flow cytometer.Data showed that TfR mAb and Curcumin could cooperatively inhibit tumor cells growth,promote tumor cell necrosis and arrest tumor cells in S phase.In conclusion,anti-TfR antibody can enhance the anti-tumor effect of Curcumin in a synergistic manner.
