Progress in the regulation of Th17 cell differentiation

Abstract：CD4~+ T cells will differentiate into different lineages of helper T(Th)cells with different functions after activation.Th17 cells have recently been identified as a new lineage of effector Th cells,which have been proven to play a key role in infectious diseases,as well as in autoimmune diseases.Recently,a rapid progress has been achieved in elucidating the differentiation mechanism of Th17 cells.Here,we summarize the current knowledge on the unique gene expression,the cytokine regulation,and transcription factor in Th17 cells.
