Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between the serum SDF-Ict level and other laboratory indexes in patients with vasculitides and explore the rule of SDF-1α in vasculitides. Methods The level of SDF-1α from 28 vasculitides patients, 14 sys-temic lupus erythmatosus (SLE) with Raynaud' s phenomenon and mixed connective tissues disease (MCTD) with Raynand' s phenom-enon, 20 SLE without Raynaud' s phenomenon, and 20 healthy individuals were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) respectively. Results The level of serum SDF-1α in vasculitides patients, SLE patients with Raynaud' s phenomenon and MCTD with Raynaud' s phenomenon, and SLE patients without Raynaud' s phenomenon were (3 495. 12 ±1 099. 39) pg/mL,(7 207.46±4 011.11 ) pg/mL, and (6 546.97±2 897.71 ) pg/mL, respectively, which were obviously higher than that in healthy control (2 124. 43±438.11 ) pg/mL, (P < 0.01 ). In addition, the level of serum SDF-1α in all patients showed positive correlation with erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) ( r = 0.674, P < 0.05 ), anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies(ANCA) ( r =0. 609, P < 0.05 ), and α1 microglobulin of urin (r = 0.597 ,P < 0.05 ). Conclusion The evident increase of serum SDF-1αlevel in vasculitides pa-tients has positive correlation with the levele of ESR, ANCA, and α1 microglobulin of twin, which suggests that SDF-1α may play a critical role in the pathogenesis of vasculitides.
