Abstract:Objective To study, in genetics, the atopy of asthmatic pedigrees. Methods Asthmatic pedigrees were collect-ed. Total lgE, skin prick test (SPT), and bronchial hyperresponsiveness of asthmatic pedigrees members were analyzed. Results 1)There was significant difference of SPT results between asthmatic patients and normal individuals (P<0.05).2) Higher level IgE and SPT positive subjects were 76% in asthmatic pedigrees, while normal persons SPT positive rate was 53% (P<0.05).3) Atopic rate of children with SPT positive parents (beth) was 85.7% ; children with SPT positive father but SPT negative mother got atopic rates of 81.8% ; children with SPT positive mother but SPT negative father had atopic rates of 63.6%. There was significant difference between the children with SPT positive parents and children with SPT negative parents (P<0.05). Conclusion Atopic parents increase the atopic risk of children in asthmatic pedigrees; Higher level IgE and SPT positive are connected; SPT positive parents affect the most of their children.
