Recent advance in research of pattern recognition receptors for LPS
Abstract:Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of Gram-negative bacteria is an important pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). They can be detected as exogenous molecules. LPS plays an important role in infection and trigger innate immune response. But it is not well known how it works. Unveiling of Toll-like receptors, a type Ⅰ transmembrane protein, has made a great progress in understanding the mechanism of recognition of LPS. Here, we try to introduce recent research advances of this potential pattern recognition receptors(PRR).
