The law of methane explosion induced by spontaneous combustion process in closed fire zone of coal mines
Abstract:The law of methane explosion induced by self-combustion during the closing process of fire zones was studied to develop the safe closing technology in fire zones. The physical and mathematical model of explosion induced by spontaneous fire, mainly related to roadway flow model, spontaneous combustion model and methane migration model of vacant places and methane explosion model, was analyzed. An explosion in Xing'an Coal Mine of Hegang Mining Group was studied as an example to study the law of explosion during fire zone closing period. The results show that the wind velocity decrease during fire zone closing will cause methane accumulation, and explosion will happen if there is fire source;if methane accumulated area has a great distance to high temperature zones, explosion may happen if accumulated methane moves to high temperature areas;if the fire strengthened, explosion may also happen. In order to ensure the safety of fire zone close process, ventilation should be strengthened, the air pressure in closed zones should be increased, and the closed building should be kept synchronously.
