Calculation of rock strata movement and support resistance in working face due to trapezoidal loads
Abstract：Based on the classical theory of practical ground pressure,a new structural mechanics model of working face was proposed on the condition of simplifying rock beam load into trapezoidal load,in which the formulas of main roof of initial pressure and periodic pressure were redefined.The new formulas were applied to calculate the weighting step with the actual mining situation of 32211 fully mechanized working face at Rujigou Coal Mine.The calculated results are closer to the measured data compared with the classical theory and will play a guiding role for coal mine safe production.
