PIV measurement for variation of flow speed and turbulent intensity with time
Abstract：By via of PIV measurement technology, airflow speed and turbulent intensity on the process of powder jet were measured in verticle square tube. Further analysis and discussion were carried on based on the metrical data. Var iation curve of the airflow speed and turbulence intensity with time were obtained through the computation. The results indicate that in tube average airflow speed has the linearity relation with time basically before the end of powder jet. After the end of powder jet, the average airflow speed reduces suddenly. Turbulence intensity in the horizontal direction and vertical direction decays with the negative exponent in 0 - 350 ms after the process of powder jet. The turbulence intensity has small variation with the time in the tube after 350 ms.
