Abstract:The acceleration effect of the concentration of SDS solution on coal mine gas hydrate formation rate was investigated by the visual experimental apparatus of coal mine gas hydrate. The experiments included four types of SDS solutions with different concentrations (0.4,0.5,0.6 and 0.7 mol/L). The pressure-time curve (p - t) in the formation process was obtained and the gas hydrate formation rate was calculated based on the formula of gas hydrate formation rate. The results show that SDS enhances the hydrate formation rate, leading to the acceleration of gas hydrate formation. An optimal concentration of SDS exists for its acceleration of gas hydrate formation, with 0. 6 mol/L in this study. Specifically, the formation rate can attain to 3.35 × 10~(-5) m~3/h in this kind of solution, under 9. 0 MPa.
