Abstract:The carbon microcrystalline structure of the foundry formed coke was analyzed by X-ray diffractometer (XRD),the change law of carbon micro-crystal structure along with different temperature was studied. The results show that there are diffraction peaks in 002 crystal face and 100 crystal face, and the diffraction peaks present cer-tain regularity on the changes in shape. The analyses of XRD reveal that with the increase of carbonization tempera-ture,2θ diffraction angles get bigger and the halGpeak width of 002 and 100 crystal faces become smaller,as well as the interlayer spacing of the aromatic lamellar correspondingly become smaller accordingly, while the effective packing height L_c and the level diameter L_a of the aromatic nucleus increase, and the structure of formed coke tends to aromatization and ordering.
