Complementarities between green coal mining and sandy desertification control

Abstract：The complementarities between green coal mining and sandy desertification control were analyzed from geographical distribution,characteristics of resources,ecological environment and economy development aspect.Desert sand could be utilized as filling material in coal fill mining.which is effective not only for controlling strata movement induced by coal mining and protecting environment from destruction,but also for reducing desert sand and supplying water to environment protection and economic development by mine water resource regeneration.Coal resource exploitation and sandy desertification control is an integrated system.Except for exploitation,deep pro-cessing and pit-head generation,coal enterprises should participate in sandy desertification control,develop"desert industry"such as crop production,animal husbandry and forestry to reduce environment pressure caused by exces-sive human activities.At last,to achieve sustainable development between enterprise and society,also economy and environment.
