Abstract:Based on the Raleigh Scatterings, the propagation attenuation characteristic of mine dust and droplet on EM was analyzed. The results show that the propagation attention is independent of size and distribution of dust; the attenuation rate increase with the increase of EM wave frequency and concentration of dust, as well as droplet moisture; the shape and space orientation of dust particles decide the cross-polarization discrimination, the higher the XPD is, the larger the mutual interference between different polarized waves. However, at UHF, in comparison with attenuations caused by the other factors, the attenuations of dust within the set concentration range on EM wave in different aspects are negligibly smaller.
