Prediction and control of coal and gas outburst in Pingdingshan Mining Area

Abstract：Based on the geological conditions of gas in Pingdingshan Mining Area,geological structure to control gas in coal seam is introduced,the prediction and control measures of coal and gas outburst are put forward. The measures are the sectional management measure for outburst prevention in mine roadway heading face and the measure for outburst prevention in coal mining face. Based on the actual conditions in Pingdingshan Mining Area, the conventional prediction method is improved. The improved measures was applied to the Ji15-13190 fully mechanized coal mining face and other faces in No.8 Mine of Pingdingshan and good results are obtained from those faces.
