Study on reasonable determination of installing angle of isolating dust air curtain in fully-mechanized working face

Abstract：The hazard of the dust to the mine workers was pointed out, and the met hod protecting the mining machine driver from the dust is also described in this paper. Firstly, the districts of the air curtain was established, and then, the computer calculation of the installing angle of the isolatingdust air curtain was carried out based on the district ideas. The analysis result about the installing angle of the air curtain is below or equal to 15°.The analyzing result reduced the testing steps and cut down the engineering test costs. The industrial testing results in Gequan Coal Mine of Xingtai Mining Industry Group Ltd have proved that the analysis results in this paper are correct.
