The fluid flow analysis of ground freezing shaft

Abstract：Numerical models were established to analyze the fluid flow in the aquastrata using ANSYS, which concerned some different developing stages and special scene when ice-posts were developing to intersect each other in a shaft freezing. As the gaps are becoming smaller and smaller, the seepage veloc ity is increased, the high rate is related to the conjoining pattern of the ice-post. It is why some shaft freezing time are delayed, and benifit to speed up the process of shaft ice-wall.
