Abstract：The room and pillar mining method which using continuous miner has been put into practice in the major mining district of China and has showed its superiority. The most difficult problem of this method is that its ventilation condition is bad. According to the layout of panel entries, five ventilation systems for the method are put forward, they are local fan ventilation system, separate return entry system, two intake and one return entry system, two intake and two return entry system, mixed ventilation system.On the basis of the analysis of ventilation methods, the best ventilation system is determined for this mining method,it is the mixed one, by the minimum weighted relative-error method.
