Abstract:The newly constructed stackpiles of large open-pit coal mine, which are man-made huge loose dumps, often have the problems of severe soil erosion, water loss, topsoil compaction and unstable. The loose-heaped-ground method of soil reconstruction on the platform can avoid the topsoil to be compacted, and greatly increase rainwater infiltration and disperse surface run-off. Thus it is an effective way of solving the problems above and has been preliminarily confirmed in the reclamation practice of Antaibao Large Open-pit Coal Mine. In the case of the stackpiles of Antaibao Large Open-pit Coal Mine, the new method is explained in detail, the erosion control mechanism is studied by means of hydrological analysis, and optimal loose-heaped-ground is further brought forward according to the calculation result.
