Abstract:In order to get the side abutment pressure distribution of deep fully-mechanized caving face and the rock burst risk in areas adjacent the face, the side abutment pressure distribution of the mined area of the No.1300 goaf in a coal mine was deteced with boreholes and the seismic CT.The rock burst risk of No.1301 headentry with distance of 80m to the mined area was evaluated on the basis of the control action of stress to rock burst. Finally, the results of detection and evaluation were verified through the actual project case. The results show that the side abutment pressure distribution of the mined area of the No.1301 headentry has an influence range of 155 m and a low stress range less than 20 m.The No.1301 headentry adjacent the No.1300 goaf has a strong rock burst risk. The hysteretic evolution of the side abutment pressure is easy to result in the hysteretic rock burst in an adjacent region. The study reveals the cause for rock burst in a region adjacent the deep fully-mechanized caving face and provides a basis for prevention of rock burst in an adjacent region.
