Abstract:In order to solve a high cost and poor effect problems of the flying gangue control in the steeply dipping coal mining face, according to different area features existed in the flying gangue movement status,a numerical simulation, site measurement and theoretical analysis were applied to the analysis on the flying gangue movement process in the different area of the steeply dipping and high cutting coal mining face. The results showed that the flying gangue at the top coal mining face had many intermittent collision and sliding movements and had a movement of 88.3 m along the coal nining face. The flying splash probability was 6.91% and would be a highest danger to the personnel and equipment in the coal mining face. The flying gangue at the middle of the coal mining face had many intermittent collision and sliding movements with a distance of 38.9 m.The flying splash probability was 4.37% and the danger degree was less than the flying gangue at the top of the coal mining face. The flying gangue at the low part of the coal mining face had a collision and sliding movement. The flying gangue would not easily be bounded when the flying gangue impacted with the seam floor.Located at the low part of the coal mining face, the rolling and sliding movement of the flying gangue was stopped.Possibly due to the gangues impacted by the top and middle flying gangues,a secondary disaster would be occurred.According to the site flying gangue movement features, the flying gangue control principle was provided. The flying gangues at the top part of the coal mining face could be arrested with the flying traces, the flying gangues at the middle of the coal mining face could be controlled at the sources and the flying gangues at the low of the coal mining face should prevent the secondary flying occurred. The application effect was excellent during the trial production period.
