Distribution Features of Microseisms Occurred in Roof Breaking of Seam with Thin Base Rock and Shallow Depth
Abstract:In order to study the microseismic distribution features during the roof breaking process of the seam with thin base rock and shallow depth, an ARAMIS M/E microseismie monitoring and measuring system was applied to monitor and measure No. 3301 coal mining face in a mine. The monitoring and measuring results showed that when each forward advancing of the coal mining face was about 95 m, there would be a large energy microseismic accident occurred periodically which could show that the microseismic released energy occurred by the periodic breaking of the roof have a certain period. The period of the microseismic released energy could deduce the breaking step distance of the main roof periodically occurred. The microseismic accident would have an obvious space effect. The microseismic positio- ning results could be applied to reveal the breaking height of the strata occurred by the seam mining and thus to map the failure scope. The roof weighting would be delayed about 8 h of the microseismic accident. The time difference between the microseismic accident and the roof weighting could be applied to predict a large area roof weighting of the seam with a thin base rock and a shallow depth.
