Study on analysis of characteristics and prevention measures of coal mine safety accidents in 2023

Abstract：Based on the data of coal mine safety accidents in China in 2023,the characteristics of coal mine safety accidents were ana-lyzed from four aspects:accident types,time distribution,regional distribution,and accident causes.The results indicate that roof acci-dents are still the focus of various safety accidents in coal mines,and differentiated prevention and control strategies should be adopted to address the high frequency and low mortality rates of transportation and mechanical and electrical accidents,as well as the low fre-quency and high mortality rates of gas and fire accidents.The time distribution shows three high-risk periods:the resumption period at the beginning of the year,the high-temperature operation period,and the year-end sprint period.The regional distribution is more in the north and less in the south.Among them,Shanxi Province is affected by factors such as a large coal mine base,complex geological con-ditions,difficulties in intelligent transformation,and uneven technical equipment,resulting in a double high trend in the number of acci-dents and deaths.The direct causes of coal mine accidents in 2023 are concentrated in unsafe human behavior,unsafe conditions of ob-jects,and management deficiencies.It is necessary to establish a rigorous,refined,and intelligent dual prevention mechanism and control system to effectively control unsafe factors of people and objects,and ensure production safety from the source.
