Research on tracer gas and CFD simulation for emergency response of coal mine ventilation
Wang Jianliang
Abstract:In the emergency response process of coal mine emergencies, there are situations where rescue personnel cannot directly enter the accident site.At this time,it is crucial to quickly and accurately analyze the operation status of mine ventilation system through re-mote means to assist the mine rescue team in making scientific decisions. To this end,by combining tracer gas technology and computa-tional fluid dynamics(CFD)modeling methods, specific tracer gases were released into the coal mine ventilation system, and CFD mod-els were used to numerically simulate the airflow flow inside the mine.Four ventilation failure scenarios were established to simulate dif-ferent degrees or types of ventilation system failures, and the model prediction results were compared and verified with field experimental datas to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of model analysis. The experimental and model analysis results show that combining direct observation of tracer gas profiles with numerical simulation of CFD model can effectively identify the changing characteristics of mine ventilation systems, which helps to improve the response speed and decision-making quality of mine emergency rescue.
