Abstract:With the continuous increase of coal mining depth in China,it has become particularly important to achieve safe and efficient mining of deep fractured rock island working faces and scientific support design. The 13421 working face of Gubei Coal Mine is a typical isolated working face, and the width between the coal pillars of No.13421 belt roadway and adjacent No.13521 belt roadway on the south side is only 7 meters. The gob-side entry driving in isolated working face has serious deformation of surrounding rock, difficulty in control, and high cost.Taking the No.13421 belt roadway of Gubei Coal Mine as the research object, targeted support and rock pressure monitoring schemes were proposed through UDEC discrete element numerical analysis, and industrial experiments were conducted. The results indicate that the deformation of the surrounding rock in roadway has been effectively controlled, achieving good safety and eco-nomic benefits, which can provide reference for the mining of isolated working faces under similar conditions.
