Abstract:In the safe and efficient development of coal resources in kilometer deep coal mines, high gas working faces require enhanced ventilation capacity and long-term maximized implementation of goaf drainage. However, such control measures are contradictory to spontaneous combustion prevention strategies in goafs. To address this challenge,a kilometer deep well fully-mechanized mining face with high gas and spontaneous combustion was taken as its engineering context.Through integrated laboratory testing, field measure-ments,and numerical simulations, the spontaneous oxidation characteristics of working face coal samples were analyzed. The variation laws of parameters such as oxygen concentration and temperature rise rate in the goaf were measured on-site,and the ranges of the dis-persion zone, oxidation zone, and suffocation zone were determined. The distribution characteristics of the"three zones"of spontaneous combustion were accurately grasped, and inerting and isolation measures were taken for the oxidation zone to ensure safe and efficient mining under normal extraction conditions in the high gas goaf, and to prevent natural combustion and gas overlimit accidents. The re-search results provide engineering design basis for the prevention and control of spontaneous combustion fully-mechanized mining face of kilometer deep well high gas,and have important guiding significance for the prevention and control of gas and fire in such complex coal seams.
