Hole sealing performance test of drilling capsule sealer and its application in hydraulic fracturing

Abstract：At present,due to the complex hydraulic fracturing sealing process,the lack of tight sealing holes and the failure of sealing holes,theoretical research and on-site practice were carried out on the pressure resistance of drilling capsule hole sealers.After theoreti-cal analysis,it can be seen that the diameter of the drilling is reduced,so that the hole sealer can stand higher water injection pressure,and its maximum bearing pressure mainly depends on the water pressure inside it.According to this conclusion,the expansion experi-ment of capsule hole sealer sealing performance detection was carried out,and the results showed that the polyurethane rubber capsule hole sealer had good expansion,and the aperture below 75 mm could be tightly sealed,and the shrinkage resistance was good,and the length change rate was only 25.3％under the maximum bearing pressure,which could meet the requirements of effective sealing length in the shrinkage state.According to the theoretical research and experimental results,the parameters of the capsule hole sealer were de-termined,and the hydraulic fracturing of the forward drilling and directional long drilling was carried out in a certain mine,and the seal-ing effect was achieved.
