Analysis of coal seam and coal accumulating environment analysis in Bayintaolegai exploration area,Dongsheng Coalfield

Abstract：The Bayintaolegai exploration area is situated in the northern part of the Dongsheng Coalfield.The Yan'an Formation of the middle and lower Jurassic is the main coal-bearing strata,according to sedimentary cycles and lithological combinations,it can be divid-ed into three rock segments and four coal formations from top to bottom.Based on the data from the Bayuntaulegai exploration area in Dongsheng Coalfield,a comprehensive study was conducted on the coal seams and coal accumulation environment in the exploration are-a.It was found that the sedimentary environment in this area is mainly river-delta facies,accompanied by lakeside,shallow lake,and lakeside-peat swamp facies,with locally developed semi deep lake facies-deep lake facies.The development of coal seams was strictly controlled by the sedimentary environment,and this area has formed 11 comparable coal seams and 7 minable coal seams.
