The impact of digital transformation on green governance in manufacturing enterprises

Abstract：Based on panel data from Chinese A-share manufacturing listed enterprises from 2009 to 2023,to empirically examine the impact of digital transformation on green governance in manufacturing enterprises.The results indicate that digital transformation can promote green governance in manufacturing enterprises,and total factor productivity plays a partial mediating effect between digital transformation and green governance in manufacturing enterprises,while media attention plays a positive moderating role.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the promotion effect of digital transformation on green governance in manufacturing enterprises is more pronounced in non-state-owned enterprises and high environmental sensitivity enterprises.Thus,it should actively advance the digital transformation of enterprises,stimulate the vitality of total factor productivity,and strengthen media attention to fully leverage the oversight and governance role of external attention,in order to promote green governance among manufacturing enterprises.
