Abstract:The level of group environmental awareness is an important criterion to measure the progress of"Building a Beautiful China",and its step improvement is normally caused by the major environmental events.Taking the event of Japan releasing radioactive water as a case study, this study adopted the method of Social Network Analysis(SNA)to explore the influencing factors, evolutionary pathways, key nodes and guiding strategies of the group environmental awareness and a total of 240 thousand data was used. Results showed that the public cognition on this event was raising with time. The diffusion effect was formed under the influence of group responsibility and shared value. As the result, the group environmental awareness was improved. As the authoritative information source, the government can control the evolutionary process of group environmental awareness by the direct pathway of information distribution and the indirect approach of influencing the corporate media and internet celebrity. The participation of the secondary media can provide additional information and diversified opinions.Additionally, they can contribute to the information flow as the opinion leader of the small-scale clusters, which can provide the platform and scenario for the improvement of the group environmental awareness. The opinion leaders can maintain the fundamental structure of the social network during the inactive period. They can also attract the public attention when there is significant progress of the environmental event, and the intensity of the network will increase rapidly surrounding them.On this basis, some policy implications were provided.
