Research on the impact of digital transformation on green technology innovation in Shandong manufacturing industry

Abstract：With the acceleration of the digital transformation process in Shandong Province and the continuous advancement of the economic green development strategy,whether the digital transformation of enterprises can effectively promote the green technology innovation level of manufacturing enterprises in Shandong Province is an urgent issue need to be explored.Based on the data of A-share listed manufacturing companies in Shandong Province from 2013 to 2022,this paper deeply studies the role of digitization in promoting green innovation of enterprises.The research shows that digital transformation has a significant role in promoting green technology innovation in manufacturing industry,and this conclusion is still valid after replacing the explanatory variables.Enterprise scale plays a significant regulatory role in the promotion of green technology innovation by digitalization,and its degree of regulation is related to industry type and enterprise region.The analysis based on industry heterogeneity shows that,large-scale enterprises can use digital technology more effectively to promote green technology innovation in non-heavy polluting enterprises,but its moderating effect is not significant in heavy polluting enterprises.The analysis based on regional heterogeneity shows that,enterprise scale shows a positive moderating effect in digitally empowered green technology innovation in the eastern part of Shandong;however,it shows a significant hindrance in the central and western.
