Abstract:Accelerating the transformation of energy structure is an important way to ensure national energy security and achieve green and high-quality economic development. The research and application of green technology has innovated the way of energy utilization and improved the efficiency of energy use,and is an important driving force for the low-carbon transformation of energy structure.Based on the data of 30 provinces(including municipalities directly under the central Government and autonomous regions)in China from 2011 to 2022,this paper empirically studies the U-shaped relationship between green technology innovation and energy structure transformation, analyzes the transmission role of industrial structure upgrading and industrial intelligence in the U-shaped relationship, and examines the regulatory role of environmental regulation in the influence process. The results show that:① There is a significant U-shaped relationship between green technology innovation and energy structure transformation nationwide;② Industrial structure upgrading and industrial intelligence are two important channels for green technology innovation to promote the transformation of energy structure;③ The U-shaped relationship between green technology innovation and energy structure transformation has obvious differences in economic regions and resource endowments.Green technology innovation has a stronger driving force on energy structure transformation in eastern China, but the U-shaped relationship is not obvious in resource-based provinces;④ Environmental regulation plays a negative regulating role in the U-shaped relationship between green technology innovation and energy structure transformation.
